It feels like ages since I’ve posted something on the blog. I’ve been busy after two days of filming a documentary alongside Andy Knight, about the day in the life of a resident on the top floor of Anniesland Court, Glasgow. An interesting topic to cover, as well as the lovely views you see from the 24th floor.

Because I come from a radio background I found directing, filming and sound engineering very interesting. It really was a huge learning experience for me.

After day one of the shoot we went to the pub (as you do) to discuss what we had recorded that day, some great footage if you ask me. We later re-watched all the footage to log it for a team members so they can make a start on the editing, to our shock we noticed that the boom microphone was in shot during a fantastic piece of  the interview, so it was a case of trial and error. I’m really pleased with the results, now time to edit the footage and package in the form of a 10minute documentary.

Once the documentary has been edited I’ll post it to the blog for you all to see.
