King Lambie ProductionsHi I’m Cameron King and this is my website, Audio Cam, which was founded back in 2009 to host the work I’ve created so it can be accessed by the wider public online. I also post the occasional post about my day, or projects I’m currently working on.

A bit about me, I started off by doing work experience and hosting my first show at the now defunct station – Lanarkshire’s L107. Which led me to study a media course at Glasgow Metropolitan College. Since then I have expanded my knowledge on the constantly evolving media landscape. I have also graduated from the School of Creative & Cultural Industries obtaining a BA (Hons) Broadcast Production at University of the West of Scotland. Currently I am pursuing a PGCert ┬áin (MA) Cultural & Creative Enterprise at Queen Margaret University.

I have been an active member at CamGlen Radio since 2009, a community radio station for Cambuslang & Rutherglen which was awarded a full-time community FM licence, you can find out more about the station online. I am currently employed by Camglen’s parent charity, Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust to develop and deliver radio related training to a range of clients.

In September 2013 I joined youth community radio station, Bolt FM as their Station Coordinator. The station serves the young population of the North East of Glasgow, using radio as a tool to reduce gang violence between different areas and to provide the young people with a voice.

I am a co-director and founder of King Lambie Productions which was founded with Gillian Lambie in May 2013. King Lambie Productions is a multi-platform content business based in Scotland, specialising in 360 degree production. Currently myself and Gillian are working on projects which will be announced shortly.

I am interested in new media and sat on the advisory board for Social Media Week Glasgow. My interest in new media led me being involved with #citizenrelay (Scotland) and #media2012 (UK wide) both projects which focused around new media and citizen journalism around the London 2012 Torch Relay and Summer Games. I have been invited to speak on digital media at a range of conferences all over Europe.

I also do a little bit of photography on the side, examples of my work can be found on my Flickr page.
