It's been an extraordinary week travelling around the UWS campuses and meeting staff and students studying a range of courses from commercial music – law. The week has highlighted what the University has on offer, and encouraged others to uptake the use of social media, and how using basic services like LinkedIn and Twitter you can connect to people working in your particular field. This week sees the arrival of UWS Interactive festival, a week long festival celebrating media, culture, technology, education and performance. During 6th - 9th March, 2012 I will be involved in delivering Social Media Surgeries with a team of UWS academics and students offering advice as how both staff and students can engage with social media in creating an online identity.
