Camglen Radio; Ofcom awards 5 year licence

I am pleased to finally be able to announce that Camglen Radio has been awarded a full-time community radio licence by broadcasting regulators, Ofcom. It's been the combination of hard work from the Camglen Radio team and Healthy and Happy Development Trust. You can now listen again to Camglen Radio's live coverage of the torch relay passing through Rutherglen on the 8th June, 2012. Speakers include local politicians and the Lord Provost, I even make my first on air appearance after nearly two years! Camglen Radio is back!

Camglen Radio will return streaming online from the 8th June, 2012. The station has been offline since last year and this new internet broadcast will see the station constantly streaming until later in the year, until our application bid has been reviewed by regulators, Ofcom. Presentation: #SocialMedia & Radio

Here is a preview of a short presentation I will be delivering tomorrow night. The idea of the presentation is to get people thinking about how they can use social media platforms to help generate an audience, and how content could shape this. Archive: Alcohol Documentary (2009)

The following programme was created back in 2009 as I was developing my skills in editing, interviewing and presenting at Glasgow Metropolitan College. I chose the subject area as it was and continues to be a problem that affects communities in the UK. I spoke to recovering alcoholics at Alcoholics Anonymous Glasgow, hearing their journeys and battles they've had to face with this controlling substance. (more…)

Creative Project: Scottish Music Scene, 2010

Making use of the fantastic abilities Mixcloud has, I thought it was time I uploaded my Creative Project which was completed during my time at Glasgow Metropolitan College.
